Interactive: A term describing a program whose input and output are interleaved, like a conversation.
Much like interactive software, my current state is defined by prior events. Adding my initials as a prefix, a common naming convention in object-oriented programming, results in the monikor JARinteractive.
Computers are my passion. From the time I was a small child using my family's Mac 128k, I have been fascinated by these machines. My childhood dream was to create software "when I grew up." My dream of software development and fascination with computers has not subsided. I have been programming since I was in eighth grade - for classes, employers, and personal enrichment.
My passion for computers is not limited to software development. Computers are the perfect companion to a number of my other interests. They are essential to the next generation of media production. I enjoy the blend of creative and technical aspects required to create "digital media."
I graduated from Greenville College in May 2005 with degrees in Computer Science (B.S.) and Digital Media (B.S.). During my college years I have had a number of jobs relating to my degrees - software development, web programming and design, photo retouching, and Macintosh computer lab support. I recently began working at SBC in St. Louis, MO.
